Before buying these headsets I was not really a fan of using
headsets due to the fact that I have always had a pretty good sound system on
my computer. It still is a good sound system but I started reading more about
gaming headsets and this sparked my interest to start looking for a good set of
gaming headsets. Being an avid FPS gamer I know it is a very big advantage to
hear your opponents before they can hear you. You will be surprised how you can
hear the footsteps of people when you have on a good pair of headsets.
I choose to buy the Razer Carcharias headsets because I have
always liked Razer products and trust them for most of my accessory gaming needs.
They have always delivered the goods.
My old headset was made by Plantronics (I don’t even know
the name for it but you can see it briefly in my video review). It was very
uncomfortable and bulky to wear. I would say if you are currently using a
headset that is not well made it might turn you off to buying a new pair as my
old Plantronics had done to me for so long.
I will tell you one thing if you have the above mindset…stop
and go buy a good pair of gaming headsets. Hands down it is one of the best
purchases I have made for a gaming accessory. The open air design of it allows
you to hear outside noise and the sound quality is very good. I have only used
my speaker system on my system as few times since I bought these headsets.
The ear cushions are large and soft and go around the ear
and don’t rest on them. This makes wearing them for long stretches of time very
doable and comfortable. The overall
quality of them is very good and they are very light.
